What The App Uses

• Location — Used to fetch local UV Index forecasts from Apple WeatherKit. Sent to Apple Weather only, not stored by us.
• Profile choices — Skin type, exposed-skin level, pace goal, sunscreen mode, and wake window are stored on your device only.
• Sunlight logs — Timer sessions, streaks, and achievements are stored locally on your device.
• Reminders — Reminder enabled state and lead time are stored on your device. Notifications are scheduled on-device using the latest forecast.
• Purchases — Subscription status is managed by RevenueCat and Apple. We do not handle payment information directly.

What Stays On Your Device

Profile choices, reminder settings, a rounded last-known forecast coordinate, and your exposure history are all stored locally on your device. UVMAXXING does not operate a backend server that stores or processes this data.

You can clear all local app data at any time from Profile → Local data → Reset local data. Deleting the app also removes all local data from your device.

Third-Party Services

• Apple WeatherKit — Provides UV Index and weather forecast data. Your location is sent to Apple to retrieve forecasts. Apple's privacy policy applies.
• RevenueCat — Manages subscriptions, entitlement status, and purchase restoration. RevenueCat's privacy policy applies.
• Apple App Store — Processes all in-app purchases. Apple's privacy policy applies.

Health Disclaimer

UVMAXXING is not a medical device. It does not measure blood vitamin D levels, diagnose any condition, or replace medical advice. The app provides conservative planning guidance based on forecast UV data and your profile choices. Always use sunscreen, shade, sunglasses, and protective clothing for normal outdoor time.

Children's Privacy

UVMAXXING is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children.

Changes To This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Acceptance

By downloading or using UVMAXXING, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms apply to all users of UVMAXXING on any Apple platform.

License

Vigilainte Inc. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use UVMAXXING on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of any part of the app.

Subscriptions & Billing

• UVMAXXING offers an optional Maxx subscription (weekly or yearly) that unlocks premium features.
• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Free trials, where offered, convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand.
• Manage or cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except where required by applicable law.

Not Medical Advice

UVMAXXING is a wellness planning tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. It does not measure vitamin D levels. It does not guarantee any health outcome. All recommendations are conservative estimates based on publicly available UV Index data and your stated profile preferences.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about sun exposure, particularly if you have a medical condition, take photosensitising medications, or have a history of skin cancer.

Acceptable Use

• Use the app only for its intended purpose of personal sunlight planning.
• Do not use the app to extend UV exposure beyond what is safe for your skin type or health condition.
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or circumvent any part of the app or its subscription system.

Disclaimer of Warranties

UVMAXXING is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Vigilainte Inc. does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that UV forecast data will be accurate at all times. UV forecast data is sourced from Apple WeatherKit and is subject to Apple's availability and accuracy.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vigilainte Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of UVMAXXING, including any damages related to health outcomes from sun exposure.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Vigilainte Inc. is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date above when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

About UVMAXXING

UVMAXXING is a conservative sunlight planning app for iPhone. It uses local UV Index forecasts from Apple WeatherKit, your profile settings, and on-device logs to help plan short outdoor sunlight windows safely.

Troubleshooting

• Forecast not loading? Enable Location permission in Settings → UVMAXXING → Location → While Using the App. Without it, UV data cannot be fetched.
• No reminder pings? Enable Notifications in Settings → UVMAXXING → Notifications. Then enable the Daily Reminder toggle in the app (Maxx required).
• Reminders showing old times? Open the app to let it refresh the forecast and reschedule your next reminder window.
• Maxx not active after subscribing? Go to Profile → Subscription → Restore Purchases. This re-checks your Apple subscription status.
• Apple Weather unavailable? This is a temporary service outage. Wait a few minutes and pull to refresh.
• Want to start fresh? Go to Profile → Local data → Reset local data to clear your profile, logs, reminder settings, and saved forecast coordinate on this device.

Managing Your Subscription

• Cancel anytime via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → UVMAXXING.
• Restore a previous purchase via Profile → Subscription → Restore Purchases.
• Maxx stays active until the end of your current billing period after cancellation.

Safety Note

UVMAXXING is a wellness planning app, not medical advice. It does not measure vitamin D levels and must not be used to justify extending exposure when UV is rated High or Very High. Always apply sunscreen and seek shade when conditions are unsafe.
